Nearly a year ago, in a very crucial stage of book writing, I visited another gathering of the Food Lit Book Club to discuss M.F.K. Fisher's The Gastronomical Me. It was a wildly smart, insightful, witty group and our conversation greatly influenced my last three months of book writing. I can't wait to return and chat about An Extravagant Hunger.
If I haven't convinced you yet, it might help to mention that the meeting I attended had a pungent round of Cowgirl Creamery Red Hawk cheese and a couple of fresh baguettes. Bread, cheese, and good books? Yes, please.
Hi Anne-- this book club looks like so much fun!! Especially the bread and cheese and books. My book releases 3/1/2011 which is getting so close! I should have my author copies soon. I can't wait. How's everything going?
